Bosch's US washers are 24-inch compact front-loaders in the 300, 500 and 800 Series, about 2.2 cu. ft., built to stack under a matching Bosch dryer. The 800 Series WAW285H2UC runs on 208/240 volts with its own internal water heater.
Codes come in pairs
Newer Bosch washers show a group and a detail, such as E:30 -10 for a water inlet problem or E:30 -20 for a critical one. The second half matters: -20 means the faucet is shut and the washer drains itself.
A leak sensor in the base
The 800 Series carries AquaStop Plus, and when water collects in its base the display shows E:00 with -23. That code means a leak inside the cabinet, and the water stays off until it is found.
Hot and cold both connected
Bosch washers that use hot water expect a hot hose as well as a cold one, and report a missing hot supply as E:93 or H:93. A cold-only hookup explains the code with nothing broken.
A reminder to wash hot
On the 800 Series, a flashing Drum Clean light means Extra Hot has not been used for a while. Running Drum Clean with an empty drum clears it; nothing is broken.
Parts
Bosch washer parts are ordered by the E-Nr. (model number) and FD (production code) on the rating label; pumps and door locks are common, while control modules may take longer. The label is photographed before anything is ordered.
Repair or replace
A compact Bosch in a closet or stacked install is usually worth repairing, because a same-size replacement is limited and the stack has to be taken down either way. Repair is weighed against age when the motor or control module fails.
