What the form asks,
and why.
What you enter here goes to the technician ahead of the visit, so the right pump, valve or switch is more likely to be on board. None of it commits you: the price comes after the diagnosis.
Have the model number to hand if you can find it: where to find the model number covers the usual places.
Rather talk? (844) 398-5711Step oneWhich washer, and what the cycle did
Front-load or top-load, the make, and where the last cycle went wrong. That decides who comes and which parts travel with them.
Step twoAn arrival window
Pick a date and a slot. Nobody asks you to stay home for the whole day.
Step threeHow to reach the washer
The address and a phone number. Say whether it is in a basement, a hall closet or an upstairs laundry, and add any gate or door code.
After you book,
the visit.
The three steps above are the booking. These four are what happens once a technician is in your laundry room.
What repairs costWatch it run first
The technician runs a short cycle and watches the fill, the drain and the spin, and checks the hoses, the filter and the level of the machine before blaming any part.
You hear the cost first
You are told which repair it needs and what it costs before any work begins. If replacing the washer makes more sense, you hear that too.
Parts on the van
Pumps, lid switches and common valves are carried on the van. A part built for a single model is ordered by its number, so giving it when you book can spare a second visit.
Fixed, then run
After the repair the washer goes through a fill, drain and spin while the technician watches for leaks and listens to the drum, rather than taking it on trust.
Before the
technician arrives.
Three things that make the first visit the only one.
What a code meansStop running test cycles
Cycle after cycle on a washer that will not drain or spin strains it further and can erase the stored code. Keep it off if it leaks, smells hot or trips the breaker.
Note any code
If a code appears, write down every character in order. The same code can mean something else on a different make.
Clear the way
Take the laundry out, bail or towel off standing water if you can, and clear the floor in front. Note when it started and what came before it: a move, new hoses, a heavy load.
Where we
come out.
Nine metros. If your street is not listed, give the address in the form and we will say straight away.
