What F34
actually means.
F34 means the door could not be locked (or, on a Miele top-loader, the drum could not be locked). An overloaded drum is one cause.

The control cannot confirm that the door or lid is locked, or cannot release it. A latch that does not reach the lock, a bent strike or water still in the tub is looked at before the lock assembly.
