The most common reason is that the shipping bolts in the back were left in. They hold the tub rigid during delivery and must come out before the first load. After that, check that the washer is level and the feet are locked. ### Should all the shocks or rods be replaced together? Yes. They wear at about the same rate, and one new part next to three tired ones leaves the tub off balance. Replacing them as a set gives an even suspension. ### Can a wooden floor make a washer walk? It can. A floor that flexes lets the machine rock, especially on an upper floor. Anti-vibration pads or a solid platform help, but a washer with sound suspension should not travel on a reasonably firm floor. ### Is shaking only a noise problem?
