First unplug the washer for a few minutes and plug it back in, then run a drain and spin, since the lock stays closed while there is water in the drum. Many front-loaders have a pull cord for emergency release behind the lower pump hatch. Drain the water through the filter before using it. ### My top-loader fills but will not agitate or spin. Is it the lid switch? It is one of the most common causes. If the control does not see the lid closed, it will fill but go no further.
