Drain trouble, and much of it traces back to small items from pockets caught at the pump or its filter. A lopsided load that stops the spin comes a close second. ### Are front-loaders more trouble than top-loaders? They have different weak spots. Front-loaders need more attention to the door boot and pump filter to stay fresh, while agitator top-loaders put more wear on the clutch and transmission that switch them from washing to spinning. ### Should I keep using the washer while I work out the problem?
