LoC, or LC on some models, shows when someone presses buttons while Control Lock is active. It is a reminder that the panel was locked, not a problem with the washer. No part had to be replaced. If a later load stops with water left in the drum or the cycle halts again, treat it as a new problem. ### What not to do LoC does not mean the control board has frozen. Touch and hold the Control Lock button for about 3 seconds; the display counts down and the lock turns off. ### How did LoC get turned on on my Whirlpool? Holding the Control Lock button for three seconds turns it on, so a long press by accident is enough. Holding it again turns it off. ### Can I still stop the cycle while LoC is showing on my Whirlpool? Yes.
