Leave the factory drain hose form as it came and do not tape the hose into the pipe. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Should I shorten or bend the drain hose to stop F9 E1 on my Maytag? Maytag says the hose form should not be altered, because the factory shape is already correct for a standpipe or tub. Put it back as shipped and check for kinks instead. ### F9 E1 appears on my Maytag with a clear hose. What is left?
