Sud tells you the washer detected too much foam and has added a suds-reducing phase. The cycle runs longer, and if foam builds during a spin the washer stops so it does not push suds out. Let the cycle finish; the extra phase can add about two hours. ### Why did my LG washer run two hours longer with Sud on the display? That is the suds-reducing phase LG adds when it senses foam. Using less HE detergent on the next loads shortens cycles back to normal. ### Can Sud on an LG washer lead to other codes? Yes.
