OE means the washer could not pump out the water it used during the cycle. LG names a kinked drain hose and a clogged drain pump filter as the usual reasons, and heavy suds can trigger it too. LG washer display · also shown as E03, E21 What to do when OE shows on the washer ### Kind of code Drain The washer tried to empty the tub and the water level did not drop in time. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Pull the washer out enough to check that the drain hose behind it is not kinked, crushed or blocked. 02 Run a spin-only cycle and listen for the drain pump humming during the first few seconds. 03 If the pump hums, clean the drain pump filter behind the lower front access cover, then run Tub Clean and use less detergent next time. 04 Book a visit if OE comes back with a clear hose and a clean filter. ### Still there? Pull the washer out enough to check that the drain hose behind it is not kinked, crushed or blocked. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why does my LG washer show OE when the drain filter is already clean? Too much foam can fool the pump: LG explains that suds create air pockets the pump cannot move. Run a Tub Clean cycle, cut the detergent dose, and see whether OE stays away on the next load. ### My LG front-loader shows E21, not OE. Is that a different problem?
