Electrolux front-loaders come in 300 to 700 series, with StainSoak on 600 and 700 models and Perfect Steam on select models, and an approved kit stacks a matching dryer on top. Series and options change the controls, not the basic drain and lock design. ### The model number gives the series Electrolux manuals cover several series at once, and the series is part of the model number, for example a 600 series model. Knowing it tells you which cycles and options the washer should have before judging a missing feature as a problem. ### It detects swapped hoses If the hot supply is on the cold inlet and the cold on the hot, the washer notices and flashes HO then SE. Electrolux also lists reversed lines as a known cause behind its long-fill and long-drain codes. ### The standpipe has a window The manual wants a standpipe of at least 23.6 inches to stop siphoning and no taller than 8 feet for the pump to empty the drum in time. Many drain complaints on this brand are installation, not parts. ### A door stand vents the drum A spring-loaded stand below the door latch props the door open between washes to cut humidity and odor. Using it is the first step against musty smells. Parts Door locks, drain pumps and inlet valves for current Electrolux front-loaders can usually be ordered without trouble. Series-specific control and dispenser parts may take longer. Repair or replace Drain, fill and door lock repairs on an Electrolux front-loader are worth doing. Who should I call? Electrolux says units installed within the past 30 days should go back to the installer, since several of its codes are known installation issues.
